THE NATIVITY OF THE VIRGIN The icon was painted during the 19th century. Egg tempera, gesso on wood panel. Central image displays traditional depiction of St. Anna on a couch attended by women bearing gifts, while Mary is being washed below. Nice composition, color and style. Good condition. Size: 4” x 4 ¾”
